Memorial Day hours
Womack Army Medical Center  specialty care clinics will be closed on Friday for a training holiday and Friday for Memorial Day. The primary care clinics will be open on Friday and closed Monday for Memorial Day. This includes Clark Health Clinic, Joel Health and Dental Clinic, Robinson Health Clinic, Troop and Family Medical Clinic and Womack Family Medicine Residency Clinic.  The Fayetteville and Hope Mills community-Based clinics will be open during their normal hours on Friday. 

Road improvements begin June 17
Construction crews will begin work to widen the Gruber and Longstreet roads intersection beginning June 17 through the end of 2013. Improvement work will include resurfacing and traffic signal upgrades at four signalized intersections on Longstreet Road. Some of the work will be performed at off-peak hours, at night and or weekends.

Stop by for the music
The Army Ground Forces Band and the Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra are presenting a concert in Festival Park, downtown Fayetteville on Sunday, at 7:30 p.m.

PX and commissary holiday hours
North Post Mall will open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday. South Post Exchange will open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday; 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday; and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., on Monday.

The North and South Post Commissary hours will be 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday through Sunday; and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday.

Scholarship available
The Collision Repair Education Foundation and “Hire Our Heroes” program: 3M is funding special scholarship opportunities for veterans who served after 9/11/01 who want to begin a collision repair career by attending a collision repair community college or college.  The scholarship will pay for tuition and required books/tools. Interested veterans can apply for the scholarship by visiting www.CollisionEducationFoundation.org. The deadline for the application is May 31.
